COSBY -- The third annual Red, White & Bluegrass Celebration sponsored by Treasures Of Appalachia will be from 10:00 am till 5:00 pm on Friday, July 1st and Saturday, July 2nd and is free to the public with plenty of free parking. It will be held at Holloway's Country Home / Treasures Of Appalachia, 3892 Hwy 321, near the intersection of Jones Cove Road and Hwy 321 in scenic Cosby TN.
This year the RED will be provided by the BBQ Garden & Cafe (Cosby) as they serve up their extra tasty barbecue dishes, the WHITE will be free white water rafting trips from Smoky Mountain Outdoors in Hartford, and of course: BLUEGRASS music.
"My waitresses are always telling me that people just rave about our food." Says Wanda Willis, owner of The BBQ Garden and Café. "They say it's the best pulled pork they've ever had, the finest 'tater salad in these hills, and of course they love our 'killer ribs'. I'm sure it's because we use only the finest ingredients and make everything fresh - just like home made. We've had narry a complaint!"

Says David Marley, manager of Smoky Mountain Outdoors, who will be providing 3 free passes, each for two people, to be given away through a drawing Saturday at 4:00 pm. Treasures is pleased to welcome back, by popular demand, the hot bluegrass band Mountain Edge, who will perform Saturday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Anyone who has seen these young men play knows that their talents are exceeded only by their enthusiasm and appreciation for traditional bluegrass music. This local group is a regular at the Cosby Ramp Festival, the On Cosby festival, have appeared at the Green County Fair and Cosby in the Park, as well as for the City of Gatlinburg, the Paul Williams Bluegrass Festival, at Dollywood, and Cocke County's special reception for Lamar Alexander.
Shalacy, another popular performer who calls Cocke County home, will also be performing. She has entertained since early 1998 throughout the southeast and Midwest. This gifted vocalist

has brought the crowds to their feet at numerous venues throughout Pigeon Forge and east Tennessee, including the TN State DAV Convention and the more recent TN Valley State Fair in Knoxville, TN. Over 400,000 Alabama viewers bring Shalacy into their homes as a regular on the Alabama Cable Network hit show, "The Time of Your Life".
